Westin Triple Tube Rock Rails

The Westin Triple Tube Rock Rails offer more protection for Jeep Wrangler JL and also make it easier to get in and out due to the platform step.

JL 2 Door - Westin Triple Tube Rock Rail for standard (2 door) Jeep Wrangler JL - I was wrong in the video, they don't make these for the 2 door JL. They only make the 2 door version for the older JK style Jeep.

The Good?

Easy Install - No need to drill and one person can install these in less than 2 hours. A jack stand helps a lot to support the rails since they are 50 lbs each.

Textured platform step gives good grip in the wet so that you don't slip getting in and out of your Jeep.

In the price range of less than $500 I'm confident they offer the best protection available with the convenience of a step.

They have an OEM look if you're someone who likes tubes more than angular shapes on your Jeep.  They look completely at home when paired with the AEV bumpers.

The Bad?

There isn't much that's bad to say about these rock rails. Some complained that they make a creaking noise on first install but every person who loosened the mounting bolts and jiggled the rails around a little bit and retorqued all had their issue resolved.  They are very rigid and flex less than the frame of the Jeep so some settling of them needs to occur and in every case the creaking went away.

Rocks can easily get lodged between the rails and the body of the Jeep. This is best handled by also installing the Hammerhead Pinch Weld Covers when you install the rails. If I were to nitpick I would say the step platform might work better with more a mesh like grid to let rocks fall through rather than gather and then shift to being lodged between the rails and frame.

Some have complained that you need to remove the stock rock guards from the Jeep to install these, and it's true that you do, but the above mentioned Hammerhead Pinch Weld Covers look better anyway.
